The story behind Calculate Hours and why it exists.

I build small tools that remove friction from everyday problems. Here, that means turning raw punch logs into clear worked and break time—without living in a spreadsheet.
How the idea started
Many people have to hit a fixed number of office hours. Adding them up by hand across every in/out session felt like a hassle—easy to get wrong and tedious when logs are long or messy.
The goal was simple: drop raw punch text in once and get a plain-English summary for the day (or whatever date range appears in what you pasted)— worked hours, break time, and how many breaks—without living in a spreadsheet.
What Calculate Hours does
This app is AI-assisted: it reads your raw export, normalizes the times, and produces a report for the day or the time span reflected in your input. You focus on the numbers that matter; the tool handles the busywork.
What we care about
From raw logs to a clear report
Paste messy in/out exports. The app understands the text and turns it into worked time, breaks, and break count for the day or the period in your paste.
Built for one person’s workflow
This is an individual tool: your data in, a readable summary out—without tallying every session by hand.
AI-assisted, not spreadsheet work
Smart reading of unstructured punch text saves you from manual addition across multiple sessions.
